Pan African Nationality Network (PANN)

The Pan African Nationality Network (PANN) is a stateless-led Pan-African network advancing the right to a nationality and the eradication of statelessness across Africa. Established by a founding group with lived and learned experience of statelessness, PANN serves as a convening platform to strengthen collaboration, amplify stateless leadership, and foster collective advocacy among civil society actors working on nationality rights across the continent.

Joining the Global Alliance would strengthen collaboration between African and global actors working to end statelessness. PANN seeks to contribute African perspectives and lived experience to global advocacy, share knowledge and promising practices, build strategic partnerships, and support collective action to advance the right to a nationality. We also see the Alliance as an important space to connect regional and global efforts, particularly in advancing implementation of the African Union Protocol on the Right to a Nationality and the Eradication of Statelessness in Africa.
