Pastoralists Rights and Advocacy Network (PARANET)
ABDULLAHI DIRIYE
We at the Pastoralists Rights and Advocacy Network (PARANET) work in Northern Kenya where many pastoralist families face significant barriers in obtaining basic identification documents such as birth certificates and national IDs. Without these documents, children are unable to enroll in school, adults cannot access health services, and entire communities remain invisible within formal government systems.
This lack of legal recognition perpetuates social and economic exclusion, leaving many without a voice in matters that affect their lives. ParaNET works to raise awareness about legal rights and facilitates access to vital documents, helping communities claim recognition and access essential services.
We are joining this alliance in order to get help and networking to address these challenges faced by people in Northern Kenya.
