Rohingya Human Rights Initiative (R4R)

Sabber Kyaw Min

The Rohingya Human Rights Initiative (R4R) is dedicated to protecting and promoting the rights of Rohingya and Burma-based minority communities across South and Southeast Asia. Our mission is rooted in addressing the systemic injustices faced by these communities, including violence, discrimination, and marginalization, while empowering them to reclaim their dignity, rights, and opportunities.
We work tirelessly to document atrocities and incidents of violence, advocate for meaningful legal and policy changes, and provide critical humanitarian and legal assistance. By conducting in-depth research, filing court petitions, and advocating for civil registration and citizenship restoration, we aim to create sustainable solutions that address the immediate and long-term challenges faced by these vulnerable groups.
Our initiatives prioritize community empowerment, focusing on strengthening leadership and capacity within the Rohingya and Burma-based minority communities. We also support formal education for children, raise awareness about their plight, and contribute to the preservation of their rich cultural heritage. Furthermore, we work to protect Human Rights Defenders, provide safe shelters for women, and assist community members in obtaining refugee cards, ensuring their safety and access to essential services.
Through collaboration, advocacy, and direct action, R4R envisions a future where Rohingya and Burma-based minority communities are empowered, protected, and able to live with dignity and equal rights across the region.
