| The Legal Status Network Foundation (LSNF) was established in 2012 through the collaboration of non-governmental organizations (NGOs), civil society organizations (CSOs), and academic institutions working on child rights, human rights, stateless persons, and ethnic group issues in Northern Thailand. In 2014, LSNF was formally registered as a foundation, with a shared mission among 32 member organizations to promote human rights and sustainably improve the quality of life for stateless persons in five key provinces: Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phayao, Mae Hong Son, and Tak.
Following successful and comprehensive operations in the North, the foundation’s network has expanded steadily. Currently, LSNF comprises 48 member organizations working across various regions of Thailand, including Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phayao, Mae Hong Son, Tak, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, and Samut Sakhon. The foundation focuses on collaborative efforts to address issues related to legal status, migrant workers, border communities, refugees, stateless students (the āGā group), stateless monks and novices, and broader human rights concerns. |
