Local Community Network

Local Community Network (LCN) is a grassroots group developed and launched by international Justice Mission (IJM) and community Leaders in 2A19. The LCN model is an adaptive and enduring solution focused on transferring knowledge to the community to solve the problem without dependence on external support. Through the LCN model, the volunteers become the focal persons in their communities, equipped with the skills, knowledge, and
personal drive to support the legal status needs of other community members. The LCN has existing relationships in communities built on trust and confidence. Many of the volunteers come from the same communities identified as having persistent legal status needs. This type of relationship within the community is critical to improving support, maintaining trust, and enhancing communication throughout the application process. The efforts of LCN, working in
tandem with the stateless community. represent a robust bottom up approach to solving the issue of statelessness with a proven sustainable methodology.
