We are motivated to be a member of the Global Alliance in order to construct a world where no individual is denied their right to belong. As an organization committed to enhancing gender equality, social justice, and inclusive governance in Somalia and elsewhere, SGH is aware that statelessness disproportionately affects women and other vulnerable groups. By joining the Alliance, we hope to collaborate with like-minded partners to identify and close policy and legal gaps, raise awareness, and advocate game-changing solutions that uphold the rights and dignity of stateless people. SGH believes that through collective action, exchange of knowledge, and political will, we can make history together by ending statelessness and ensuring everyone is entitled to a nationality without discrimination.
