The Youth Congress Rohingya (YCR)

The Youth Congress Rohingya (YCR) is deeply honored to join the Global Alliance to End Statelessness. As a youth-led organization founded and driven by stateless Rohingya youth, our mission is rooted in the lived experiences of those who have endured the daily realities of statelessness. For us, joining this Alliance is not only an opportunity for collaboration but also an act of solidarity with all stateless communities around the world.

Statelessness is not only a legal issue but also a humanitarian, social, and psychological challenge. It strips people of their basic rights, limits access to education, healthcare, and employment, and denies them the dignity of belonging. As young people who have grown up under such conditions, we understand both the pain and the potential of our communities. We believe that through meaningful cooperation, shared advocacy, and the amplification of youth-led voices, we can bring real and lasting change.

By joining the Global Alliance to End Statelessness, YCR seeks to contribute our grassroots knowledge, community engagement, and youth-driven approaches to collective efforts for policy reform and awareness-raising. We believe that youth leadership is essential in shaping inclusive, long-term solutions to end statelessness. Our participation in the Alliance will also strengthen our own capacity to connect with global partners, share lessons learned from the Rohingya context, and learn from others’ successful initiatives.

We envision a world where no one is denied identity or belonging. Through this partnership, we aim to foster solidarity, promote human rights, and advocate for recognition and justice for all stateless people. Together with the Alliance, we are committed to advancing the global movement that ensures every person has the right to a nationality and the dignity that comes with it.

The Youth Congress Rohingya proudly joins hands with the Global Alliance to End Statelessness, believing that collective action, shared vision, and youth leadership can turn the dream of ending statelessness into a global reality.
