Regional Action, Global Impact: Leveraging Regional Approaches and the Role of Inter-governmental Organizations in addressing statelessness
We are pleased to announce the upcoming Network Lab, co-organized by the Council of Europe, OAS, CLARCIEV, and UNHCR, will take place online on 20 May from 15:00 – 18:00 CET. This half-day event will bring together 11 regional inter-governmental organizations, member of the Alliance, to explore how regional approaches can accelerate solutions to statelessness. This dynamic Network Lab will offer a platform for exchange, peer learning, and collaboration across regions.
The event will include the following three sessions:
- Spotlight on Key Regional Frameworks and Developments: Each regional organization will present one key regional framework or initiative/development relevant to addressing statelessness, and to highlight major opportunities and plans for 2025–2026.
- Breakout Discussions: Interactive conversations focused on overcoming common challenges and good practices in implementing regional commitments.
- Strengthening the Global Alliance and Solution Seekers Programme: A panel discussion on strengthening engagement with intergovernmental organizations and Member States to expand membership in the Global Alliance and advance concrete action to end statelessness.
Kindly note that participation in this Network Lab is by invitation only and limited to regional intergovernmental organizations and regional civil society networks.
