The Global Alliance to End Statelessness is launching its Knowledge Webinar Series to spotlight concrete actions, lessons learned, and collaborative solutions from around the world.

📌 First Webinar – Resolving Statelessness Together
This session will highlight how governments, civil society, and stateless-led organizations are working hand-in-hand to resolve statelessness. It will feature speakers representing the Government of Thailand – who will share updates on its recent Cabinet Resolution and progress under Action 1 of the Global Action Plan 2.0; Global Movement against Statelessness: highlighting the leadership of stateless-led organizations as equal partners in driving change; and Haki Centre (Kenya): presenting work with the Pemba and Makonde communities, using legal empowerment and community paralegals to secure recognition as citizens

The inaugural meeting of the “Addressing Discrimination in Nationality Laws & Policies” Thematic Working Group (TWG) was held on Wednesday, 2 April, from 14:00 to 15:30 CET.

The inaugural meeting of the “Ending Childhood Statelessness” Thematic Working Group (TWG) was held on Thursday, 3 April, at 14:00-15:30 CET.

The first Global Alliance Inter-Regional Network Lab, “Regional Action, Global Impact: Leveraging Regional Approaches and the Role of Inter-Governmental Organizations in Addressing Statelessness,” was held online on 20 May 2025. Co-organized by UNHCR, the Organization of American States (OAS), the Council of Europe (CoE), and CLARCIEV, the half-day event provided a platform for exchange, peer learning, and cross-regional collaboration, spotlighting the critical role of IGOs in fostering inclusive, coordinated, and regionally grounded action to address statelessness.
