Knowledge Webinar Series – Webinar 1: Resolving Statelessness Together

The Global Alliance to End Statelessness is launching its new Knowledge Webinar Series, designed to spotlight concrete actions, lessons learned, and collaborative solutions to end statelessness worldwide.

The first session, Resolving Statelessness Together, will showcase how governments, civil society, and stateless-led organizations are working hand in hand to create lasting change.

Join this webinar on 10 September, 10:00-11:30 CET, to discover how Thailand’s Cabinet Resolution provides an accelerated pathway to permanent residency and nationality for nearly half a million stateless people, learn from the Global Movement Against Statelessness about the vital role of stateless-led organizations as equal partners in driving change, and gain inspiring insights from Kenya’s Haki Centre on how legal empowerment and community paralegals are helping the communities secure recognition as Kenyan citizens.

Format and speaker list

This 90-minute interactive discussion will begin with a brief framing on the Global Action Plan to End Statelessness 2.0 (GAP 2.0), followed by contributions from government, civil society, and stateless-led organizations. A live Q&A session will allow registered participants to engage directly with the panel. The event will be recorded and shared on the Global Alliance website, with a live broadcast also available for broader audiences.
